I am a firm believer that cats are a gift to the human race and we’ve done nothing as a species to deserve them. That being said, they still allow us to give them belly rubs, boop their noses, and comment on the size of their stretches.
Comedy Central
It goes without saying that every time a cat appears on my screen, they automatically become my favorite character and I root for them above all else.

Fox
So, here are a list of fictional kitties from film and TV that I WISH existed IRL so I could cuddle with them:
1.
Marie from The Aristocats:

Walt Disney Studios
“Ain’t you ever seen a princess be a bad bitch?” Little did we know, Ariana Grande wrote these lyrics about Marie.
2.
Fat Louie from The Princess Diaries:
Walt Disney Studios
You KNOW Fat Louie is loyal AF because he was at Mia’s side before she became a princess.
3.
Goose from Captain Marvel:

Walt Disney Studios / Marvel Studios
You never know when a flerken can come in handy!
4.
Crookshanks from Harry Potter:

Warner Bros.
Crookshanks is brilliant, an excellent judge of character, and has the flattest face that deserves every boop in the world.
5.
Mrs. Norris from Harry Potter:

Warner Bros.
Anyone who can put up with Mr. Filch’s squib ass must be a saint in disguise.
6.
Salem Saberhagen from Sabrina, the Teenage Witch:

The WB
A talking cat seems like they’d come in handy…also, I LOVE his sassy banter.
7.
Meowth from Pokemon:

TXN
See: above.
8.
Hobbes from Calvin and Hobbes:
Andrews McMeel Publishing / Via amazon.com
…once again, see: above.
9.
Thackery Binx from Hocus Pocus:

Buena Vista Pictures
The fact that Binx spent HUNDREDS of years as a cat — not much of a punishment to me, but I digress — to keep children from facing the same fate as his sister is honestly too much for words.
10.
Simba from The Lion King:

Walt Disney Studios
I just want to protect Simba from the pain he’s going to face in his life.
11.
Kovu from The Lion King 2: Simba’s Pride:

Walt Disney Studios
Is Kovu an animated lion? Yes. Did that stop me from crushing on him as a child? Absolutely not.
12.
Puss in Boots from Shrek:

DreamWorks Pictures
LOOK! AT! THAT! FACE!
13.
Cat from Breakfast at Tiffany’s:

Paramount Pictures
Who needs an alarm clock when you have Cat?
14.
Yoka from Spinning Out:
Netflix
The things I would do for this flat-faced feline*.
*Everything, the answer is everything.
15.
Orion from Men in Black:
Sony Pictures
This kitty LITERALLY had the world in the palm of his paw, or rather, around his neck. This is a kitty I want on my side.
16.
Sagwa from Sagwa, the Chinese Siamese Cat:
PBS
Not only is Sagwa the cutest seal point I’ve ever seen, she can fill my home with beautiful art!
17.
Last, but not least, Jiji from Kiki’s Delivery Service:

Studio Ghibli
No reason for Jiji other than that his entire existence sends me.
